Engineer Sherif El-Sherbini, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, conducted a follow-up on the progress of the Downtown Towers project and the C19 Bridge project in New Alamein City. The purpose of his visit was to review the latest updates on the implementation and to address any obstacles that might hinder the workflow.
This took place in the presence of officials from the ministry, the New Urban Communities Authority, the Chinese company “CSCEC” responsible for the implementation, and officials from the New Alamein City Authority.
During his inspection tour, the Minister of Housing reviewed the project’s completion rates and the facade work for the towers. He also examined the details of the components of the Downtown Towers project, which is being implemented in a style similar to the towers in the Central Business District of the New Administrative Capital.
The project involves the construction of five residential towers with finished interiors and services, including the iconic tower, which reaches a height of 250 meters and consists of 68 floors with a total area of 465,000 square meters. In addition, there are four other towers, each 200 meters high, consisting of 56 floors with a total area of 320,000 square meters.
The Minister visited the iconic tower and inspected one of its residential units. He also directed an increase in the work pace on the project while ensuring that any existing observations are addressed.
As part of his tour, the Minister also inspected the work underway on the project for the C19 road bridge intersection with the railway line in the southern area.
