Eng. Randa El-Menshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, held a meeting to discuss ways to maximize the economic and investment benefits of real estate assets owned by the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA).
The meeting focused on studying and activating innovative investment mechanisms to improve the management of these assets, increase their returns, and provide diverse and sustainable funding sources for development and urban projects.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Walid Abbas, Deputy Minister of Housing for New Urban Communities, along with several officials from the Ministry and NUCA. The meeting discussed a proposal to establish a real estate investment fund.

The fund aims to maximize the economic returns on NUCA’s assets, attract local and foreign capital and investments, and provide new sources of liquidity and financing.
It would also establish a diversified and scalable real estate portfolio that generates attractive investment returns and supports sustainable revenue growth. In this context, Eng. Randa El-Menshawy emphasized the importance of studying various investment models that can maximize returns from real estate assets.
She noted the need to consider the nature, potential, and available development opportunities of each asset to increase its economic value and achieve the best possible use.
She also highlighted that diversifying investment and financing mechanisms is an important step toward improving asset management efficiency and generating additional resources to support urban development plans and keep pace with the expansion of projects in new cities.
