Eng. Randa El-Menshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, held a meeting to follow up on the latest developments in upgrading the official website of the Ministry of Housing, in cooperation with the Cabinet’s Information and Decision Support Center.
The meeting comes as part of the ministry’s efforts to strengthen digital transformation, develop communication tools with citizens, and facilitate their access to information, services, and data related to the ministry’s sectors and affiliated entities. The meeting was attended by officials from the Ministry and the Cabinet’s Information and Decision Support Center.
At the beginning of the meeting, the housing minister noted that upgrading the ministry’s website is part of an integrated vision aimed at enhancing the level of digital services provided to citizens and making information available more quickly, accurately, and transparently. She pointed out that digital transformation has become one of the key pillars for developing government performance and improving the quality of services.
She stressed the need to employ artificial intelligence technologies within the upgraded website to provide more advanced services to citizens, enable faster access to information and data, and facilitate searches and inquiries about services, projects, offerings, and ministry decisions. She also called for studying the provision of smart interactive tools to help users access what they need in a simple and fast manner.

Eng. Randa El-Menshawy highlighted the importance of ensuring that the website’s design and development take into account the needs of different categories of users. She stressed that it should be easy to use, fast to browse, and continuously updated while providing an integrated digital experience that reflects the scale and diversity of the ministry’s responsibilities and those of its affiliated entities. The website should also represent a qualitative leap in communication tools between the Ministry and citizens.
The meeting discussed a number of proposals concerning the website’s design. The housing minister directed that the website include comprehensive content reflecting the scale and diversity of the projects and activities carried out by the ministry and its affiliated entities, covering the housing, utilities, new cities, urban development, urban boundaries, and the presidential “Decent Life” initiative sectors.
The website should also provide videos and introductory images of various projects, helping citizens learn about the scale of the development and service projects being implemented across different parts of the country.
Eng. Randa El-Menshawy also directed that a comprehensive section be dedicated to receiving citizens’ complaints and inquiries and to the rapid response system, with links to the Ministry’s internal follow-up mechanisms and those of its affiliated entities.
This would contribute to the swift handling of complaints, referring them to the relevant authorities, and monitoring the actions taken until they are resolved as part of efforts to strengthen the citizen response system and improve the efficiency of services provided to them.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the minister emphasized the importance of continued coordination among the relevant sectors of the ministry and its affiliated entities to ensure that data and information are regularly updated and made available on the website. This would ensure the provision of accurate and reliable content and maximize the website’s benefits as one of the most important digital communication tools with citizens.
