Engineer Randa El-Menshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, affirmed that a maximum state of readiness has been implemented across all new city authorities in preparation for the blessed Eid Al-Adha holiday.

This step aligns with the Ministry’s commitment to ensuring the uninterrupted provision of services to citizens at an appropriate standard, while also preserving the civilized appearance of new cities during holiday periods.

High Level of Readiness Across All Sectors

The Minister instructed the heads of new city authorities to elevate preparedness across all utility and service sectors, ensure the presence of emergency, operation, and maintenance teams at plants and networks, and respond promptly to any faults or citizen complaints.

She also highlighted the need for ongoing coordination with the Utilities Sector of the New Urban Communities Authority to ensure the continuous and stable delivery of essential services to citizens throughout the holiday period.

She further emphasized the importance of intensifying cleaning efforts and removing waste from streets, squares, main axes, and green spaces in order to maintain the urban aesthetic of the cities.

Additionally, she directed that the operation of all basic services provided to citizens be closely monitored, field monitoring teams and emergency and crisis rooms be kept on standby around the clock, and oversight be strengthened to prevent any construction violations or encroachments during the holiday period. She also stressed the necessity of taking immediate legal action against any violators.
