As part of the Social Housing Fund’s efforts to accelerate the screening process, Mai Abdel Hamid, the fund’s Executive Director, has issued essential directives regarding screening housing units in the “Housing for All Egyptians 5” project. She emphasized the necessity of closely monitoring the document review process for citizens who applied for housing units designated for low—and middle-income individuals.

The issued directives include:

  • Implementing a shift system to ensure work continues throughout the day.
  • Extending working hours to meet the high demand for housing units under the “Housing for All Egyptians 5” initiative.
  • Ensuring maximum accuracy and caution while reviewing applicants’ files.
  • Confirming that every citizen receives their rightful entitlement with precision.

Areas Where the Priority System Will Not Be Applied

The Executive Director of the Social Housing Fund and Mortgage Finance Support stated that in certain areas included in the announcement, the priority system would not be applied after the screening phase due to fewer applicants than the total available housing units. These areas include:
