The presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians” continues to achieve tangible milestones as part of the state’s efforts to provide safe and suitable housing for low-income citizens, reflecting a strategic commitment to improving quality of life and promoting social justice.

According to information published on the official page of the Egyptian Cabinet, 841,000 housing units have been completed under the initiative, while 193,000 additional units are currently under construction, helping meet the growing demand for subsidized housing.

Mortgage Financing Exceeds EGP 103 Billion

The initiative has witnessed significant progress in its mortgage finance system, with total financing provided to beneficiaries reaching EGP 103.1 billion, enabling citizens to obtain housing units through affordable repayment plans tailored to different income levels.

In addition, total direct cash subsidies have reached EGP 10.46 billion, helping ease the financial burden on eligible families and supporting their ability to own suitable homes.

Strong Banking Partnership Drives the Initiative’s Success

The success of the initiative has been supported by a strong partnership between the government and the financial sector. A total of 23 banks and 8 mortgage finance companies have participated in the financing system, providing diverse financing options, accelerating housing allocation procedures, and ensuring that government support reaches eligible beneficiaries efficiently and transparently.

Nearly 700,000 Citizens Have Benefited

The initiative has significantly improved the lives of hundreds of thousands of families, with approximately 699,300 low-income beneficiaries receiving support, reflecting the initiative’s broad reach and its ability to meet housing needs across Egypt’s governorates.

The government continues to implement new phases of the project, reaffirming its commitment to providing adequate housing as a fundamental right while supporting urban development efforts and enhancing social stability for citizens.
