Eng. Nader Zaafar, Head of the 6th of October City Development Authority, conducted an extensive field tour on Monday to inspect a number of road and development projects in the city’s eastern expansions. The tour was attended by Eng. Rady, Deputy Head of the Authority for Roads, along with representatives from the relevant departments and the executing companies.
The tour comes in line with the directives of Eng. Randa El Menshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, and Eng. Walid Abbas, Deputy Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities for New Urban Communities, emphasizing the importance of continuous field monitoring of infrastructure and road projects, improving the quality of services provided to citizens, and following up on implementation progress across various new cities.
The inspection included the Second District, where work on upgrading the Palm Hills entrance was reviewed. Officials stressed the need to expedite completion of the entrance development and modify traffic flow directions to improve traffic movement and reduce congestion.

The tour also covered the road leading to Al Mehwar Hospital to assess its condition and monitor the ongoing road upgrading and rehabilitation works. In addition, the delegation reviewed the development works on Hyde Park Road in the Fifth District, emphasizing adherence to the approved implementation schedule and quality standards.
The Head of the Authority also inspected road development works in the Seventh and Eighth Districts, as well as Palm Park Road, while reviewing the project’s completion rates to ensure the highest levels of traffic efficiency and service quality.
The tour further included an inspection of the Khamayel Road development project, where the executive status of the ongoing works was reviewed, with directives to remove any obstacles that could affect implementation progress.
At the conclusion of the tour, Eng. Nader Zaafar stressed the importance of completing all required coordination and preparatory work before launching any new projects, while fully adhering to technical specifications and approved timelines to ensure that all projects are delivered in a manner befitting the urban character of 6th of October City.
The 6th of October City Authority also continues implementing its plans to upgrade and enhance the efficiency of the city’s road network and main traffic corridors, in line with the state’s vision for achieving sustainable urban development and providing the highest level of services to citizens.
