Engineer Nader Zafar, Head of the 6th of October City Authority, conducted a comprehensive inspection tour covering a number of major development projects across the city. The tour included the Ninth Residential District and the Beit Al Watan area within the northern expansions, as well as the Central Parallel Axis project.
This visit aligns with the directives of Engineer Randa Al-Menshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, to strengthen ongoing field follow-up and evaluate the quality of services delivered to citizens.
He was accompanied on the tour by Engineer Hossam Hosny, Engineer Wissam Salah, Engineer Radi Khalil, and Engineer Ali Shehata, who serve as deputy heads of the authority, along with several executive and technical officials responsible for overseeing project implementation and development activities across the city.
Monitoring Progress Across 6th of October City Projects
The field inspection included a review of implementation rates and progress levels for ongoing works, in addition to assessing development and maintenance activities in various key locations throughout 6th of October City. The objective is to improve infrastructure performance and raise the standard of services provided to residents.
The Head of the Authority also followed up on cleanliness operations and waste collection services, alongside the execution status of utilities, road networks, and electricity works, ensuring that all tasks are progressing according to approved schedules and planned timelines.
Engineer Nader Zafar reaffirmed that the 6th of October City Authority is continuing its intensive efforts to enhance service quality and upgrade the urban environment, in line with the state’s broader strategy to develop new cities and achieve sustainable development.
Development of the Central Axis and Upgrading Infrastructure
The tour also included an inspection of the Central Parallel Axis development project, one of the key initiatives aimed at improving traffic flow and enhancing connectivity between residential and service areas within the city. The Head of the Authority emphasized the necessity of adhering to the highest standards of quality and efficiency in project execution.
He further instructed that maintenance and development works be accelerated in accordance with established timelines, while increasing daily monitoring of ongoing projects to remove any obstacles that could impact implementation progress.
He also highlighted the importance of upgrading main roads and axes, given their essential role in facilitating the movement of citizens and improving the overall quality of life within the city.
Strengthening Field Oversight and Preserving Urban Identity
During the tour, the head of the 6th of October City Authority stressed the importance of sustaining field supervision across all service and executive sectors, along with the swift handling of observations and citizen complaints to improve service efficiency and ensure public satisfaction.
He further emphasized the need to intensify inspection and monitoring efforts to preserve the city’s modern and aesthetic character, while continuing the implementation of development, beautification, and urban coordination plans across all districts.
He concluded by noting that the state places strong emphasis on developing new urban communities and improving living standards through integrated infrastructure, services, and utility projects, reinforcing the position of 6th of October City as one of Egypt’s leading modern urban centers.
