Engineer Ayman Rashad, head of the Sohag New City Authority, carried out an extensive field inspection tour of several ongoing investment and residential projects within the city. The visit is part of the Authority’s routine follow-up on implementation progress, including monitoring completion rates and construction quality across different projects, in line with the state’s urban expansion and sustainable development strategy.

The Head of the Authority was accompanied during the tour by deputy heads, assistants, and relevant department directors. The inspection included a number of residential and investment developments that form an important contribution to the city’s development plan, which is aimed at establishing integrated urban communities that serve various segments of society.

Follow-up on the Orchid Compound Project in Sohag New City

The tour began with an inspection of the “Orchid” residential compound, where the head of the authority reviewed the current execution status and progress rates. He stressed the necessity of full adherence to approved technical specifications and engineering standards throughout all phases of implementation.

Engineer Ayman Rashad commended the quality of the concrete works carried out in the project, emphasizing that compliance with quality standards is a key factor in the success of urban development projects and in achieving sustainability in new cities.

The inspection tour also included the “Green Avenue” residential compound, where the head of the authority reviewed the project’s progress and available services, in addition to following up on final finishing works and landscaping activities.

He praised the level of finishing and the quality of urban design implemented in the project, noting that such modern residential developments help create integrated urban environments and provide distinguished services for residents.

He further explained that Sohag New City is experiencing significant growth in residential project implementation, targeting different social segments, including middle-income and luxury housing, in line with the state’s urban expansion plans and efforts to develop fully serviced modern cities.
