Head of New Qena City Authority Reviews Ongoing Development and Beautification Works

Engineer Yasser Abdullah Ramadan, Head of the New Qena City Development Authority, reviewed the progress of the ongoing development and beautification works across the city.

Engineer Yasser Abdullah Ramadan, Head of the New Qena City Development Authority, reviewed the progress of the ongoing development and beautification works across the city. The works include an extensive campaign carried out by the Beautification Department to paint, decorate, and enhance electricity kiosks and transformer stations in all residential neighborhoods and along the main roads, transforming them from plain utility structures into vibrant artistic landmarks.

Engineer Yasser Abdullah Ramadan stated that the campaign is part of the Authority’s comprehensive vision to eliminate visual pollution and prevent random graffiti on walls and public service facilities.

He explained that the Beautification Department’s technical teams, in collaboration with a select group of professional artists, are creating designs that reflect Egypt’s authentic heritage and the rich cultural identity of Upper Egypt.

The Head of the Authority also noted that the project incorporates the expertise of distinguished Arabic calligraphy artists, alongside portraits representing the Egyptian character and artistic depictions of nature and palm trees.

These elements add a harmonious aesthetic touch to roads and public squares, befitting New Qena City as one of Egypt’s new-generation cities, as demonstrated by the field photographs documenting the ongoing works and the upgraded utility kiosks.

The head of the authority stressed the importance of the Beautification Department adhering to the highest artistic quality standards and the established implementation schedule to ensure the timely completion of all targeted beautification works. He also expressed his appreciation to the field technical teams whose creativity contributes to presenting the city in a modern and visually appealing manner.

The Head of the New Qena City Development Authority affirmed that the city’s development and beautification plans are being implemented in accordance with the directives of Engineer Randa El-Menshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, to enhance the urban and aesthetic appearance of Egypt’s new cities, strengthen their visual identity, and improve the quality of life for residents.
