Engineer Mahmoud Morad, Head of the New Obour City Development Authority, conducted an extensive inspection tour to monitor the progress of several ongoing projects across the city.

The visit comes as part of the continuous field follow-up of development and service projects in New Obour City and as part of the implementation of the directives of Engineer Randa El-Menshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, to intensify on-site inspections of national projects, housing developments, and infrastructure works.

The Head of the Authority was accompanied during the tour by the Authority’s deputies, the Assistant Head of the Authority, and representatives of the executing companies to review actual progress rates, monitor the quality of implementation, and ensure compliance with approved technical specifications and project timelines.

Engineer Mahmoud Morad began his tour by inspecting the road development and rehabilitation works in the social housing land plots area, where he reviewed the ongoing paving works on the main roads and internal streets, examined the completion rates, and assessed the current progress at the site.

The Head of the Authority directed that paving works be completed promptly according to the approved schedules while ensuring full compliance with quality standards and technical specifications. He also stressed the importance of conducting the necessary technical tests to guarantee road efficiency and achieve the highest levels of safety and traffic flow.

Furthermore, he emphasized the need to remove any obstacles that could affect work progress and to strengthen continuous coordination between the executing companies and the authority’s relevant departments to ensure timely completion and accurate implementation.

Engineer Mahmoud Morad affirmed that developing the road network, utilities, and infrastructure represents one of the key pillars supporting sustainable urban development in New Obour City. He noted that the authority continues to implement intensive field monitoring plans to ensure the delivery of integrated services and facilities that meet residents’ needs and enhance the quality of life throughout the city.

The inspection tour also included a visit to the Modern-Style Residential Buildings area, which comprises 78 residential buildings with a total of 1,872 housing units. During the visit, the head of the authority reviewed the standards of public cleanliness, green space maintenance, and site lighting works.

He directed the continued implementation of regular around-the-clock cleaning operations and waste removal, alongside intensified landscaping, beautification, and maintenance of public facilities, contributing to preserving the city’s urban appearance and providing an integrated residential environment for residents.

During the tour, Engineer Mahmoud Morad also inspected the Sixth Phase Housing Projects, which include 125 residential buildings. He reviewed the progress of essential infrastructure works, including drinking water, sewage, electricity, and natural gas networks, in addition to the sub-base preparation works currently underway in preparation for the execution of the final paving layers.

The head of the authority emphasized the need to accelerate implementation rates and adhere to the approved project schedules to complete all works on time while applying the highest standards of quality, safety, and occupational health across all construction sites.

Engineer Mahmoud Morad stressed the importance of maintaining daily field monitoring of all ongoing projects in New Obour City, affirming that the current stage requires doubling efforts and ensuring continuous coordination among all concerned entities.

This, he said, will guarantee the timely completion of the targeted projects in accordance with the highest standards of quality and efficiency, supporting the comprehensive development plans currently being implemented across all sectors of the city.
