Engineer Mahmoud Mourad, Chairman of the New Obour City Authority, carried out a surprise inspection visit to the Technology Center for Citizen Services in New Obour City to oversee the smooth functioning of the land legalization system and evaluate the efficiency of the services being delivered. During the inspection, he reviewed the customer reception areas and examined the mechanisms used to handle and complete applications.
Throughout the visit, the Authority Chairman monitored the requests and inquiries submitted by citizens at the center and listened to their feedback regarding the services provided. He stressed the importance of eliminating any challenges facing applicants and streamlining procedures to improve service quality and achieve higher levels of citizen satisfaction.
Strict Action Planned Against Companies Responsible for Delays in “Housing for All Egyptians” Projects
In a related context, Engineer Mahmoud Mourad, Chairman of the New Obour City Development Authority, stated that firm measures will be implemented against any company found responsible for unjustified delays in projects being carried out under the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians.” He highlighted the necessity of adhering fully to approved implementation schedules to ensure housing units are delivered on time.
His remarks came during a meeting with project contractors to assess construction progress and implementation rates across multiple project sites. The meeting was held in accordance with the directives of Engineer Randa El-Menshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, aimed at accelerating project completion within the initiative according to the approved timelines.
The Authority Chairman noted that the “Housing for All Egyptians” initiative remains one of the state’s highest priorities, given its role as a major national project focused on providing suitable housing opportunities for citizens. He emphasized the importance of executing all work in line with approved technical standards and the highest levels of quality.
The meeting included a review of project implementation progress and current completion percentages, along with discussions on the main challenges affecting certain contractors. Participants underscored the need to resolve these issues swiftly to maintain targeted execution rates and prevent any delays to project schedules.
At the end of the meeting, attendees agreed to strengthen periodic follow-up procedures and continue holding regular coordination sessions to assess performance and speed up implementation efforts, contributing to the state’s objective of providing safe and appropriate housing for citizens.
