As part of the continuous follow-up of infrastructure projects and essential services in New Minya City, Engineer Mohamed El Ezzouni, Head of the New Minya City Development Authority, conducted a field inspection of the water treatment plant to review the progress of ongoing works and assess implementation rates.

The visit was carried out in line with the directives of Engineer Randa El-Menshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, regarding the regular monitoring of projects under implementation across the city.

Accompanying the Head of the Authority during the inspection were Engineer Bahaa Ramsis Khair, Deputy Head of the Authority, Engineer Antonios Joseph, Director of the Operation and Maintenance Department, along with several department managers, to monitor ongoing works and ensure adherence to the approved project timeline.

The inspection included reviewing the development works at the water treatment plant, where the Head of the Authority monitored the process of replacing the filtration media. He emphasized the importance of completing the work as quickly as possible to ensure the continued efficiency of plant operations and improve the quality of services provided to residents.

He also directed the immediate upgrading of the irrigation pumping station pumps, stressing the importance of carrying out maintenance and development works in accordance with the highest technical standards to enhance the efficiency of the operating system and ensure the sustainability of services throughout the city.

Engineer Mohamed El Ezzouni also inspected the laboratory facilities and the calibration of equipment used for monitoring water quality. He reviewed the operation and maintenance procedures in place to ensure the highest levels of performance and operational efficiency.

The Head of the New Minya City Development Authority praised the overall condition of the treatment plant and the standard of the preventive maintenance programs carried out on a regular basis.

He emphasized the importance of continuing periodic maintenance programs to preserve the efficiency of vital infrastructure facilities. He also instructed the immediate commencement of cleaning works for the underground reservoir as part of the plan to improve the plant’s efficiency and enhance its operational readiness.
