The discussions covered several important service files of direct concern to residents, aiming to enhance the overall quality of life within the district. This aligns with the directives of Engineer Randa El-Menshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, and the New Urban Communities Authority, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen direct communication with residents and actively address their requests and proposals.
The meeting focused on activating the vehicle sticker system, along with establishing coordination mechanisms between the authority and the security company to promptly handle any violations, helping to maintain order and ensure safety within residential communities.
Study and Presentation of Proposals to Serve Residents’ Daily Needs
Dr. Marwa Hussein confirmed that the Authority is continuously reviewing and proposing initiatives that serve residents and meet their daily requirements. She noted that a proposal is currently being prepared to establish electric bus stations to improve internal transportation within the New Capital, along with plans to increase the number of nurseries to better serve families living in the district.
Establishment of a Health Office to Serve the Area
She also stated that coordination is underway with the Ministry of Health to study the establishment of a health office for residents of the area, which would help facilitate access to medical and administrative services more efficiently. In parallel, coordination will be made with the Ministry of Interior to activate and operate the police station in R3.
Dr. Marwa Hussein further stressed the importance of complying with regulations related to securing ground floors to preserve the city’s civilized appearance and ensure public safety. She also highlighted the need to regulate traffic movement in front of schools to ease congestion and maintain smooth flow.
Execution of Building Maintenance Works
Regarding maintenance activities, the Head of the Authority emphasized the necessity of accelerating the completion of maintenance works for residential buildings across all neighborhoods, with the goal of finalizing them before the end of the current year. She also referred to the completion of natural gas connections to residential units, in addition to expanding commercial markets to better meet residents’ daily needs.
She reaffirmed the importance of transparency and ongoing communication with residents, as well as addressing complaints and suggestions within a framework of cooperation aimed at achieving the highest level of service.
