Dr. Engineer Marwa Hussein, Head of the New Administrative Capital Development Authority, held an expanded meeting with representatives of residents of the Third Residential District (R3).
The meeting was attended by Engineer Mohamed Arafa, Deputy Head of the Authority for Housing; Engineer Khaled Saleh, Deputy Head of the Authority for Roads and Landscaping; directors of the Development, Landscaping, Security, and Construction Police departments; as well as representatives of the relevant departments.
The meeting was held as part of the authority’s approach to direct engagement with citizens and in implementation of the directives of Engineer Randa El-Menshawy, minister of housing, utilities, and urban communities.
Head of New Capital Authority Listens to R3 Residents’ Requests
The meeting reviewed several issues of concern to residents of the district and provided an opportunity to hear their requests and proposals, with the aim of reaching practical solutions that would improve service efficiency and enhance the quality of life within the neighborhood.
Security topped the agenda, with discussions focusing on the swift operation of the police station, completion of the surveillance camera system, and activation of the resident badge system to strengthen security and discipline throughout the district. The meeting also emphasized tightening oversight of markets and commercial outlets to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
Upgrading Transportation and Connecting the District to Monorail Stations
The meeting also discussed improving the transportation and traffic system by studying the activation of internal transport routes linking the district’s neighborhoods with the monorail stations and the Central Business District (CBD).
In addition, officials reviewed a proposal to construct a pedestrian bridge connecting the district to the monorail station to facilitate residents’ mobility and support sustainable transportation.
Accelerating Utility Services and Electric Vehicle Infrastructure
Regarding utilities and maintenance, the Head of the Authority affirmed that work is continuing to complete the natural gas network and other utility connections, finalize the installation of service meters, and study the provision of electric vehicle charging stations in line with the state’s strategy to promote clean transportation and energy solutions.
Fast-Tracking the Medical Center, Health Office, and Nurseries
The meeting also addressed the development of healthcare, educational, and community services by accelerating the operation of the medical center, establishing a health office, and opening nurseries to meet the needs of resident families and improve the level of services available within the district.
The New Administrative Capital Authority also reviewed its ongoing efforts in landscaping, cleanliness, and tree planting, alongside continuous maintenance works, expansion of green spaces, and pest control measures to preserve the district’s urban appearance.
The authority further stressed the importance of expediting the operation of shopping malls and commercial outlets to provide residents with a full range of essential services. Dr. Engineer Marwa Hussein reaffirmed the authority’s commitment to maintaining continuous communication with residents and responding to their requests.
She emphasized the importance of using the authority’s official Facebook page and approved communication channels to ensure the prompt receipt of feedback, thorough review of residents’ observations, and implementation of the necessary measures to further improve services across the New Administrative Capital.
