Engineer Yasser Abdel Halim, Head of the Hadayek October City Development Authority, stated that the efficient operation of the city throughout the Eid Al-Adha holiday demonstrates the significant efforts undertaken by teams across all departments and service sectors.
He emphasized that the authority remained committed to providing residents with uninterrupted services at the same high standard during the holiday, in accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Housing and the New Urban Communities Authority to maintain service quality and improve living standards in new cities.
In remarks to Al-Dostor, Abdel Halim explained that all concerned departments continued performing their duties throughout the Eid vacation without disruption.
Extensive cleaning campaigns were conducted, and waste was collected and removed from neighborhoods, main roads, and secondary streets, alongside ongoing monitoring efforts to preserve the city’s distinguished appearance and maintain its aesthetic and urban character.
He noted that the Agriculture Department also continued implementing its regular maintenance programs for green spaces, parks, and open areas. These efforts covered the Hadayek Al Orchid district (formerly the 390 Feddan area), the zone located between Al Fayrouz (previously known as Ibni Beitak Phase III) and Magdi Yacoub Hospital, as well as Dar Misr projects and other residential districts.
The work included grass cutting and trimming, tree and palm pruning, landscaping maintenance, care of ground cover plants, monitoring irrigation systems, and the continuous removal of agricultural waste.
Engineer Yasser Abdel Halim explained that these initiatives were not limited to preserving the city’s visual appeal. They were also aimed at ensuring a healthy, safe, and well-organized environment for residents and visitors during the holiday, particularly in light of the increased number of people visiting parks and green areas during festive occasions.
He added that the accomplishments achieved over the holiday period demonstrate the effectiveness of the city’s operational and maintenance systems, as well as the preparedness of work crews and their ability to respond efficiently to different situations. He stressed that the authority’s employees set a positive example of dedication and responsibility, which was clearly reflected in the satisfaction of residents.
The authority head further emphasized that new cities have evolved into a complete model for modern living, not only through advanced urban planning and diversified housing developments but also through the quality of services available, extensive green areas, well-developed road networks, public parks, and integrated safety and security measures that provide residents with a comprehensive environment for living, working, and leisure.
He also stated that the organized and civilized image presented by Hadayek October during Eid Al-Adha reflects the scale of state investments directed toward urban development projects. It further confirms that new cities are becoming an increasingly attractive choice for citizens seeking better living standards, organized services, and a cleaner environment.
