In line with the directives of Eng. Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, the 6th of October City Authority, under the leadership of Eng. Mohamed Mostafa, continues to implement a comprehensive plan aimed at improving the efficiency of the public lighting network along the city’s main roads.
The Head of the Authority explained that work is underway to complete the installation of new bases for lighting poles in several areas, including the Al-Khamayel Axis, as replacements for poles that were damaged in accidents. He emphasized that implementation is proceeding according to a precise timeline and in compliance with the highest standards of quality and safety.

For her part, Eng. Amal Lotfy, Deputy Head of the Authority for Electricity Affairs, stated that the development plan includes upgrading the lighting system in various vital locations, which will strengthen infrastructure and contribute to smoother traffic flow across the city.
Meanwhile, Ahmed El-Sheshiny, Director of the Electricity Maintenance Department, affirmed that work teams are continuing their efforts around the clock to complete the project as quickly as possible while fully adhering to safety regulations to ensure the sustainability of the service.
The Head of the Authority concluded by noting that these projects represent an integral part of a comprehensive plan designed to raise the level of services in 6th of October City and provide a safe, well-lit environment worthy of its residents.
