Engineer Mostafa Hareb, Head of the Akhmim New City Authority, conducted a field inspection tour to review the implementation of the Northeastern Road asphalt project and monitor the ongoing development works.
The project includes subgrade preparation, base layer construction, MC-0 prime coat application, and asphalt paving for the outer lane of several roads across the city. The visit aimed to assess the project’s execution rates and monitor progress on the ground.
The Head of the Akhmim New City Authority stated that the road development project is being implemented in line with the directives of Engineer Randa El-Menshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, and under the supervision of Engineer Dr. Walid Abbas Abdel Kawy, Deputy Minister of Housing for the New Urban Communities Authority, regarding the acceleration of infrastructure projects and the enhancement of road networks in new cities.
During the tour, Mostafa Hareb received a detailed briefing on the implementation status of the two projects, the current stages of execution, and the targeted timeline for completion. He emphasized that developing the road network is one of the key pillars of development in Akhmim New City, given its vital role in supporting urban expansion, connecting different areas of the city, and facilitating movement for residents and investors.
He also affirmed that these projects contribute to enhancing infrastructure efficiency and improving traffic flow, thereby supporting the state’s efforts to prepare the city to accommodate more residents and investments while achieving sustainable urban development.
Engineer Mostafa Hareb stressed the importance of full compliance with technical specifications and engineering standards throughout all stages of implementation. He also called for intensifying work rates and accelerating progress to complete both projects according to the approved schedules while maintaining the highest quality standards to ensure the long-term durability of the roads and provide the best possible level of service.
The Head of the Authority further confirmed the continuation of daily field monitoring for all ongoing projects, along with continuous coordination with executing companies and the relevant departments to ensure timely implementation and high-quality execution, reflecting the modern image of Akhmim New City and keeping pace with its comprehensive development plans.
