The meeting was held as part of the Authority’s plan to enhance public services and improve residents’ quality of life, in line with the directives of Engineer Randa El Menshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities.
The Head of the Authority stressed the importance of continuous field presence and prompt responses to observations and public complaints, emphasizing that no tolerance would be shown toward any random violations or encroachments that could negatively affect the city’s appearance or obstruct residents’ movement.
Campaigns to Eliminate Violations and Improve Public Services
He directed officials to intensify monitoring of sanitation operations and improve field performance, with particular attention to cleaning around waste collection bins, ensuring the prompt removal of waste, and regularly emptying bins, especially during evening hours, to maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the city.
He also emphasized the continuation of intensive inspection campaigns targeting unauthorized activities within residential neighborhoods, particularly workshops, car washes, car showrooms, bakeries, and gas storage facilities operating in unapproved locations. He noted that such activities cause inconvenience to residents, pose risks to public safety, and violate the regulations governing land use and commercial activities.
Field Tour to Inspect Cleanliness and Remove Violations in Residential Areas
The head of the authority conducted a field tour covering the Third Neighborhood and the Seidnawy area to inspect public cleanliness levels, monitor nighttime waste collection and bin emptying operations, and ensure that municipal services are being delivered efficiently on the ground.
He also inspected several kiosks in the area, stressing the importance of complying with the approved kiosk design, preserving the city’s urban appearance, avoiding encroachment beyond the allocated spaces, and preventing any unauthorized use. He instructed officials to take the necessary legal measures against violators.
The tour also included inspections of the commercial stalls in the Seidnawy area, where he directed vendors to fully adhere to their designated spaces and avoid creating any obstructions that could hinder pedestrian movement while confirming that legal action would be taken against those who violate the regulations.
