Handover of Modern Housing Units Begins in New Obour City

Cairo – Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, has announced the start of the handover process for the modern-style residential units in the Al-Zohour buildings area, District 39, New Obour City. A total of 768 units, part of the “2600 Feddan” project, will be delivered starting from Sunday, October 20, 2024, and the process will continue until Thursday, December 26, 2024.

Dr. Ahmed Ismail, Head of the New Obour City Development Authority, provided further details on the schedule. The handover will begin with buildings 70 and 73 on October 20, followed by buildings 74 and 75 on October 22. Subsequent handovers will include buildings 76 and 77 on October 27, and buildings 78 and 79 on October 29. Buildings 80 and 81 will be handed over on November 3. The process will proceed regularly until the final scheduled date, with the period from December 15 to December 26 reserved for those unable to collect their units earlier.

Ismail also advised recipients to visit the Housing and Development Bank’s branch in Obour Market to finalize their financial arrangements and submit the required documents to the city’s authority. These documents include the original allocation letter from the bank, a bank statement outlining the unit’s financial details, copies of postdated checks, and national ID copies of the unit owner and their spouse, along with birth certificates for any minor children.
