Dr. Mohamed Hammam, Assistant Secretary of the Housing and Urban Planning Committee for the Democratic Generation Party and Secretary-General of New Cairo, praised the decision made by Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly to establish specialized advisory committees aimed at enhancing communication between the government and the private sector. He described this initiative as a qualitative leap in fostering collaboration between the government and experts to support vital sectors.
In a press statement, Dr. Hammam emphasized that this decision reflects the Egyptian government’s vision of involving the private sector as a major partner in policymaking. He noted that forming diverse committees ensures tangible progress in crucial fields, such as the digital economy, export development, and tourism advancement, thereby enhancing the Egyptian economy’s global competitiveness.
Dr. Mohamed Hammam highlighted the importance of forming the Urban Development and Real Estate Export Committee, underscoring the government’s focus on this critical sector. Real estate is a pillar of sustainable development and a significant avenue for attracting foreign currency through exporting Egyptian properties to international markets.
He pointed out that the committee, composed of elite experts and distinguished engineers, will devise innovative solutions to support and expand the sector’s global reach.
Dr. Hammam added that the government’s interest in developing Egypt’s real estate market reflects its awareness of the potential within the country’s urban assets, particularly amid the grand national projects currently underway. These projects include the New Administrative Capital, Alamein City, and social housing initiatives.
He affirmed that exporting Egyptian real estate represents a golden opportunity to attract direct foreign investment while promoting Egypt’s cultural and modern image internationally.
Dr. Hammam also commended the advisory committees’ work methodology, especially their regular meetings chaired by the Prime Minister. These meetings provide a genuine platform to address challenges and present practical solutions, enhancing decision-making efficiency.
