Eng. Alaa Abdel-Lah Mustafa, Head of the 10th of Ramadan City Development Authority and Supervisor of the 10th of Ramadan Gardens Authority, conducted a field tour to inspect the progress of development projects along Saidnawy Corridor, as well as a number of road and utility projects aimed at improving traffic flow, reducing accidents and congestion, enhancing infrastructure efficiency, and upgrading the level of services provided to citizens.
The tour was carried out in implementation of the directives of Eng. Randa El Menshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, to continuously monitor projects in the field and accelerate their implementation rates.
The head of the authority began his tour by following up on the works to upgrade and redesign Saidnawy Corridor, one of the city’s main roadways. The road is being replanned to include two separate lanes divided by a central median, which will improve traffic flow, reduce conflicts between directions, and lower accident and congestion rates.
He directed that side parking areas (side parks) be established on both sides of the road to help prevent random parking, maintain the road’s efficiency, and ensure the optimal use of the road right-of-way. As part of the continued development of the corridor’s infrastructure, he inspected the replacement and rehabilitation works of the 300-mm-diameter drinking water pipeline, with the aim of improving water pressure in Neighborhoods 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6.
He also followed up on the implementation of a 1,000-mm-diameter connection line to the 500-mm-diameter pipeline coming from the tertiary treatment plant, with the aim of maximizing the use of treated water for irrigation, agricultural activities, and green areas, while supporting the sustainability of the irrigation system.
The tour also included follow-up on road patching and maintenance works and the adjustment of manhole levels in District 15, which will enhance the efficiency of the road network, maintain vehicle safety, and provide a safer and smoother traffic environment within the neighborhoods.
These projects are part of the 10th of Ramadan City Development Authority’s plan to develop the city’s main corridors and upgrade the efficiency of road and utility networks in line with the pace of development and urban expansion witnessed by the city. The projects also contribute to improving the quality of services provided to citizens and enhancing the quality of life throughout the city.
