Dr. Abdel Khaleq Ibrahim, Assistant Minister of Housing, has announced the establishment of a specialized unit within the New Urban Communities Authority aimed at regulating real estate transactions. This unit will be responsible for organizing marketing operations, identifying involved companies, and evaluating their performance to ensure service quality and transparency.

During his speech at the roundtable titled “Fractional Ownership: New Horizons for Real Estate Investment in Egypt,” Dr. Ibrahim noted that Egypt’s real estate sector still requires improvement in marketing mechanisms, with a more professional approach—especially when compared to some countries that begin promoting their real estate projects well before they are launched.

He emphasized that the Ministry of Housing is currently working on several strategic directions to support the real estate sector, with a key focus on regulating the real estate marketing industry. He highlighted that this sector needs a significant push to enhance efficiency and professionalism in alignment with global standards. Dr. Ibrahim also stressed the importance of simplifying property purchase and registration procedures by improving coordination between the various relevant authorities.
