President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi expressed his appreciation for the remarkable progress achieved in economic cooperation and political coordination between Egypt and the member states of the European Union.
In this context, President El-Sisi received on Sunday Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, in the presence of Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, and Dr. Badr Abdel Aaty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptian Expatriates’ Affairs.

From the Hungarian side, the meeting was attended by Marcel Biró, Chief National Security Advisor to the Hungarian Prime Minister; Gellért Jászai, Chairman of 4iG Group for Communications and Information Technology and Head of International Trade Relations Development; Miklós Maróth, Chief Advisor to the Hungarian Prime Minister; and János Máté, State Minister at the Office of the Hungarian Prime Minister.
The official spokesperson for the Presidency of the Republic stated that President El-Sisi welcomed Prime Minister Orbán and his participation in the Grand Egyptian Museum’s inauguration ceremony. The President emphasized the rapid development witnessed in Egyptian-Hungarian relations in recent years, particularly following the elevation of bilateral ties to a strategic partnership in February 2023. He also pointed out the diversity of joint cooperation areas between the two countries, including energy, railway carriages, communications, and education.
