Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi announced on Friday that he will not risk the lives of Egyptians in order to deliver aid to the Gaza Strip through force.
In a speech delivered during an inspection visit to the Egyptian Military Academy, El-Sisi highlighted Egypt’s efforts over the past two years regarding the Gaza issue, stressing his country’s commitment to preventing the crisis from escalating in order to avoid catastrophic consequences for the entire region.
He pointed out that Egypt continues to work diligently to stop the war, stating that the country is doing everything possible with determination and sincerity to achieve this, in addition to making significant efforts to deliver humanitarian aid to the Palestinians.
Building on this, El-Sisi reiterated his stance of not endangering Egyptians’ lives by engaging in confrontations to force aid delivery, emphasizing that such efforts must be coordinated with other parties to ensure everyone’s safety.
The Egyptian president affirmed that Egypt has a substantial amount of aid ready for dispatch, stressing that it is available and not blocked by any party. However, he insisted on the need for coordination to guarantee its safe and peaceful transfer.
