As part of the El Shorouk City Development Authority’s commitment to enhancing the city’s urban and aesthetic appearance and implementing development works in accordance with a specialized and well-studied vision, Eng. Mohamed Ahmed Zakaria, Head of the El Shorouk City Authority, conducted an extensive field tour accompanied by Dr. Osama Mohamed, Director of the Beautification Department at the Authority, and attended by Eng. Atef El Shehat, Deputy Head of the Authority, to inspect the city’s entrances and exits and a number of major squares.
During the tour, the current conditions of the entrances, exits, and squares were reviewed, along with proposals for landscaping and beautification works, to ensure the development of an integrated artistic vision that suits the nature of El Shorouk City and gives it a distinctive visual identity.
Eng. Mohamed Ahmed Zakaria emphasized that the city’s development and beautification works will not be limited to separate cosmetic improvements but will instead be implemented according to a well-studied and integrated artistic vision aimed at achieving visual harmony between the city’s entrances and exits, squares, and main roads.
He added that the Authority is keen for El Shorouk residents to experience the results of these works through the development of the city’s overall appearance in a manner befitting its status, while paying attention to the details that make a real difference in the urban landscape and give the city a distinctive character and identity.

Dr. Osama Mohamed explained that the development works will be prepared through a specialized artistic vision that takes into account the nature of each location, along with studying the best methods for landscaping and beautifying squares, entrances, and exits, in a way that achieves integration between landscaping works and aesthetic and artistic elements.
He pointed to the importance of incorporating fine arts and aesthetic elements in a well-studied manner within urban planning, contributing to the creation of a distinctive visual identity for the city and turning some squares and entrances into visual and urban landmarks that represent El Shorouk City.
Eng. Atef El Shehat, Deputy Head of the Authority, also affirmed that the beautification and landscaping works will be carried out in accordance with a well-studied artistic vision, achieving an urban appearance and a distinctive visual identity for El Shorouk City.
The head of the authority concluded his tour by emphasizing that the coming period will witness efforts to translate this vision into clear implementation steps, stressing that the beautification of El Shorouk will follow a new approach and an integrated artistic vision rather than being merely cosmetic development, with the aim of creating a more beautiful, organized, and distinctive city that meets residents’ aspirations and befits the image and future of El Shorouk.
He affirmed that fieldwork is continuing to reach the best possible vision, with designs and aesthetic elements being carefully selected so that the final result will be a source of appreciation and pride for the residents of El Shorouk City.
