Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, has announced that the construction of 732 housing units under the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians” is nearing completion. A new sports club covering 15 acres is also being developed in New Qena City. This initiative is part of the ministry’s ongoing efforts to provide services in new cities, with a strong focus on the “Housing for All Egyptians” initiative.
In the same context, Ayman Rashad Abdelhamid, Head of the New Qena City Development Authority, and several authority officials inspected the progress and completion rates of the housing units under the presidential initiative in the 600-acre area of the city’s eastern expansions. Each unit covers 90 square meters and follows a three-room model (living room—kitchen—bathroom).
The Head of the New Qena City Authority pointed out that the project includes 23 residential buildings containing 552 housing units, with a completion rate of 98%. Additionally, five residential buildings comprising 180 housing units, each with an area of 75 square meters following a two-room model (living room – kitchen – bathroom), have reached a 94% completion rate.
Continuing his tour, the Head of the New Qena City Authority monitored the progress of general site coordination and final road construction works. He emphasized to the executing companies the importance of increasing execution rates, adhering to project deadlines, and complying with standard specifications.
In the same context, Engineer Ayman Rashad and authority officials visited the new youth center and sports club, which spans 15 acres in the service area of the first residential district in New Qena City. The project has achieved a 90% completion rate.
During the tour, the Head of the Authority followed up on the project’s progress and ongoing construction activities, stressing the importance of enhancing execution rates and adhering to standard specifications.
