Engineer Randa El-Menshawy emphasized that the ongoing projects for developing and upgrading roads and main axes in new cities are part of a comprehensive plan designed to enhance the quality of services provided to citizens, ensure smoother traffic flow, and improve both the urban landscape and infrastructure.

The Minister of Housing stated that the ministry is continuously monitoring road development works across several new cities, including New Alamein, Hadayek October, New Beni Suef, Hadayek 10th of Ramadan, El Shorouk, New Obour, New Cairo, and Sheikh Zayed. These efforts fall within the state’s broader strategy to support urban development and raise the overall quality of life.

El-Menshawy also highlighted the necessity of complying with the highest quality standards during implementation, as well as completing projects within the designated timelines, in order to ensure better mobility and facilitate traffic movement within new cities.

The ongoing projects involve upgrading roads and main axes, implementing traffic planning works, and maintaining sidewalks and interlock paving. They also include the development of squares and green areas, along with lighting and beautification works across various neighborhoods and key corridors.

In addition, the works cover the laying of asphalt layers on several new roads, maintaining internal axes, and upgrading roads leading to residential and service zones, all of which contribute to strengthening infrastructure and improving the efficiency of the road network in new cities.
