Egypt’s Housing Minister Appoints Acting Head of National Water and Wastewater Authority

Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, has issued a decision appointing Major General Engineer Amin Shawky Adel Mahmoud Hassanein as Acting Chairman of the National Authority for Potable Water and Wastewater. Hassanein, who currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Authority and Head of its Projects Sector, will assume this role in addition to his existing duties.

The minister’s decision grants Hassanein full authority to carry out the responsibilities of the position while procedures for officially filling the role are undertaken. This appointment underscores the ministry’s commitment to maintaining operational continuity and efficiency within the authority, which oversees vital water and wastewater projects across the country.
