Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, has directed the acceleration of development efforts in ongoing projects and the adjustment of conditions in New Sphinx City, which is considered a promising city on the development map.

The minister confirmed that a series of infrastructure projects will be initiated in the city, reflecting the ministry’s commitment to enhancing development in this strategically significant location.

El-Sherbiny also followed up on the progress of infrastructure and road projects in New Sphinx City, including the Sphinx Axis, which connects the Cairo-Alexandria Desert Road with the Regional Ring Road, passing through the Dabaa Axis within the city’s boundaries.

For his part, Ahmed Ibrahim Anwar, Head of the City Authority, conducted an inspection tour of ongoing projects, focusing on infrastructure developments. The visit included assessing the Sphinx Axis project, where asphalt paving is in progress. He emphasized that the authority works diligently to complete the project as soon as possible to achieve the desired objectives.

Continuing his inspection, the head of the authority visited the preliminary formation project and a 400/500 mm water pipeline connecting Sheikh Zayed City’s expansions to the Sphinx Axis. The project aims to provide utilities to entities and individuals who have regularized their status. Additionally, the head of the authority stressed the continuation of campaigns to remove encroachments and building violations, emphasizing strict measures against unlicensed construction. Demolition orders were carried out for building violations in the Soleimania Resort, affirming a zero-tolerance policy towards violations, especially with the facilities provided to citizens for reconciliation. Monitoring patrols will continue to detect any infractions.
