Walid Abbas, First Vice President of the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA), stated that land offerings for foreign developers are now processed through NUCA’s official portal. He revealed to Asharq that the authority receives no fewer than 150 applications per month via this platform.

New Investment Mechanism for Foreign Developers

Today, Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, announced the opening of the Foreign Investment Portal for receiving investment applications from abroad in foreign currency. The platform is accessible from 10 AM on October 1 and remains open from the 1st to the 7th of each month. The website operates 24/7, but applications are accepted only from investors outside Egypt.

How to Apply for Land Through the Portal

  1. Register an account on the portal: Foreign Investment Portal.
  2. Activate the account via the registered email.
  3. Submit company details, including registered business activities.
  4. Upload ownership documents, translated and notarized by the Egyptian Consulate.
  5. Submit an investment request (from the 1st to the 7th of each month) specifying:
    • Type of activity
    • Preferred city and location
    • Average land area required
