The Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, along with the Social Housing and Mortgage Finance Support Fund, has revealed key updates regarding the new phase of the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians 5.” The announcement includes changes to income limits for those interested in applying for a residential unit under the new offering, along with the eligibility criteria for middle-income applicants and the maximum allowable income.
According to the ministry, the minimum income required for middle-income citizens is set at EGP 12,000 per month. Additionally, the monthly net income for families should not exceed EGP 25,000, equivalent to EGP 300,000 annually. For individuals, the income limit is set at EGP 20,000 per month, or EGP 240,000 annually.
The Social Housing and Mortgage Finance Support Fund has also outlined several conditions that middle-income applicants must meet to qualify for a unit under this phase of the initiative. Applicants must be legally eligible to enter into contracts, must not have previously received subsidized housing or a mortgage-financed unit (nor any member of their family), and must hold Egyptian nationality.
