Dr. Sayed Ismail, Deputy Minister of Housing, conducted a tour to follow up on drinking water and wastewater projects in Beni Suef as part of the “Decent Life” initiative, accompanied by officials from the ministry and the water company.
The visit began with a meeting at the Beni Suef Water Company, where project progress details were presented by the attending officials. The Deputy Minister emphasized the importance of coordination to complete the works and strengthen asset maintenance.
Eng. Ahmed Gaber, Head of the Holding Company for Water and Wastewater, highlighted the need to finalize the projects and improve efficiency and governance to reduce water loss.

Meanwhile, Major General Amin Shawqi reviewed the progress of works ahead of their entry into service, and Dr. Mohamed Hassan, Head of the Water Regulatory Authority, stressed the importance of oversight to ensure service quality in cooperation with partners.
Dr. Ismail concluded the tour by issuing directives to support customer service, enhance complaint management, and provide training programs to提升 employee performance. The tour included inspections of treatment plants in Bayad Al-Arab and Tansa Bani Malo, which serve several villages, with a strong focus on adherence to technical specifications and safety standards.
