Dr. Sayed Ismail, Deputy Minister of Housing, met with representatives of a company specializing in filtration systems using AFM media to discuss potential cooperation in seawater desalination and wastewater treatment. The meeting covered the latest technologies in these areas and the scientific committee’s study findings on possible innovations in the drinking water and sanitation system. Additionally, Egypt’s strategic plan for seawater desalination until 2050 was reviewed.
Company officials presented their previous projects and the modern techniques and methods used in seawater desalination plants and industrial and municipal wastewater treatment systems. The discussion emphasized the importance of future collaboration on utility sector projects with entities affiliated with the Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities.
After the meeting, the Deputy Minister of Housing reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to providing continuous support to the private sector and removing obstacles to encourage local production and promote the localization of industries related to the drinking water and sanitation system.
