Deputy Minister of Housing Emphasizes Full Support for Private Sector in Localizing Electromechanical Equipment Manufacturing

Cairo – During a meeting with representatives of a global company specialized in manufacturing electromechanical equipment for water and wastewater treatment projects, Dr. Sayed Ismail, Deputy Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, reaffirmed the ministry’s full support for private sector companies. These companies, with their extensive experience, play a crucial role in providing the equipment required for these projects and establishing a presence in Egypt.

Dr. Ismail outlined the ministry’s future plans for implementing new projects, including water purification plants, seawater desalination stations, and wastewater treatment and sludge management plants. He also emphasized the ministry’s commitment to developing and improving the services provided to citizens while enhancing the efficiency of existing utilities.

Representatives of the company presented their history and expertise in supplying electromechanical equipment worldwide, and their vision for improving the quality of services provided to clients. They detailed their annual production capacity, quality control measures, after-sales services, and maintenance protocols to ensure product reliability.

The meeting also explored the company’s plans to establish a presence in Egypt, including partnerships with local factories to transfer knowledge and expertise in manufacturing electromechanical equipment. Dr. Ismail emphasized the importance of swiftly completing the necessary coordination to facilitate the company’s operations in Egypt, assuring the ministry’s full readiness to support private sector companies in overcoming any challenges they may face.
