Eng. Randa El-Menshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, followed up on the efforts of several new city authorities to conduct monitoring campaigns and field inspections. These efforts aim to address all forms of encroachment and violations involving land owned by the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) promptly and decisively. They also help protect state land and support development and urban expansion plans in new cities.
Eng. Randa El-Menshawy reviewed a report on the results of these efforts. The New Taiba City Authority implemented four removal decisions to address encroachments. The operations resulted in the recovery of 22.97 feddans in the 620-feddan area of New Taiba City and returned the land to the city authority’s possession.
In the same context, the minister followed up on the efforts of the New Minya City Authority to recover land owned by NUCA. The authority implemented a removal decision and recovered 20 feddans in the tree forest area within the 5,000-feddan zone.

Recovery operations in New Minya City also covered encroached land with no crops or agricultural cultivation. The authority recovered the land and returned it to its possession, ensuring that it was free of any encroachments or cultivation. It also took the prescribed legal measures and prepared the necessary official reports.
Meanwhile, the Sheikh Zayed City Development Authority conducted large-scale campaigns in cooperation with the relevant entities. These campaigns resulted in the implementation of 30 removal decisions in the Eastern Expansions area. The operations targeted conflicts between existing walls and the area’s master plan, ensuring compliance with the approved plan and protecting the land and its designated uses.
Eng. Randa El-Menshawy stressed that protecting state land and preserving its assets are priorities for the Ministry of Housing and its affiliated authorities. She emphasized the need for new city authorities to continue intensifying field inspections and monitoring activities and to address any encroachments or violations immediately and decisively, while taking the necessary legal action.
Eng. Randa El-Menshawy also directed the heads of new city authorities to continue field inspections and monitoring activities and respond swiftly to any violations or encroachments as soon as they appear.
She stressed the importance of taking the prescribed legal measures firmly and preventing the recurrence of previously removed encroachments. These efforts aim to reinforce urban discipline and protect land owned by the New Urban Communities Authority.
