Eng. Ayman Rashad, Head of the New Sohag City Development Authority, conducted an extensive inspection tour to monitor the progress of housing projects in the city being implemented under the presidential initiatives. He was accompanied by the Deputy Head of the Authority, the Assistant Head of the Authority, and the Director and engineers of the Housing Department.
Eng. Ayman Rashad and the accompanying delegation began their tour by reviewing the latest progress of the “Diarna” residential buildings project. During the site inspection, he instructed the executing companies to accelerate construction while maintaining full compliance with quality standards and adhering to the project’s implementation schedule, emphasizing that the law would be firmly enforced against any delays.

Eng. Ayman Rashad revealed that the Diarna project includes the construction of five residential buildings comprising a total of 130 housing units. He explained that the project is being implemented according to two architectural models.
Model (A) consists of a three-bedroom apartment with a living room, bathroom, and kitchen. Model (B) is available in two layouts: the first includes three bedrooms, a living room, kitchen, and bathroom, while the second consists of two bedrooms, a living room, kitchen, and bathroom.

Monitoring the Seventh Phase of “Housing for All Egyptians”
The Head of the New Sohag City Development Authority continued his inspection tour by reviewing the seventh phase of the presidential “Housing for All Egyptians” initiative, where preparations are currently underway for pouring the foundations and columns of several residential buildings.
The Authority’s chairman issued strict directives requiring continuous supervision of all work on-site, full compliance with the highest quality standards, and the use of premium construction materials. He stressed that any negligence or delay in implementation would result in strict legal measures, including the withdrawal of contracts from underperforming contractors.
Presidential Initiative Implemented by Eight Contracting Companies to the Highest Quality Standards
The Head of the New Sohag City Development Authority stated that the project is being implemented in the Al Mostaqbal area and the 735-Feddan area in Neighborhood No. 36. He noted that the initiative includes the construction of 169 residential buildings, providing approximately 4,056 fully finished housing units, each with an area of 90 square meters. He also revealed that the implementation of the presidential initiative has been awarded to eight contracting companies.
Regarding the current implementation status, Eng. Ayman Rashad explained that the project site was officially handed over in June 2026, and work is progressing rapidly. Construction sites are currently witnessing excavation and soil replacement works for some buildings, alongside the pouring of plain and reinforced concrete foundations for others.
