As part of the efforts by the New Cairo City Authority to address the phenomenon of converting residential units into administrative and commercial activities in violation of the applicable laws, Eng. Ahmed Rashad El-Sherif, Head of the Authority, led an extensive inspection campaign in Al-Andalus neighborhood in the Third Settlement, under the supervision of Eng. Ahmed Abdelwahab Dardir, Deputy Head of the Authority for the Third Settlement.

The campaign resulted in the closure and sealing of several residential units that had been illegally converted without obtaining the required licenses, in addition to confiscating the seized items and depositing them in the Authority’s storage facilities.

The Head of the Authority emphasized the continuation of daily campaigns aimed at eliminating all violations, in order to preserve the distinctive urban character of New Cairo City and to combat any transgressions that could harm residents or compromise building regulations.
