Cabinet Approves Allocation of Land for Sale to Foreign Companies in US Dollars

The Cabinet held its weekly meeting, during which it was informed of the approval issued by the Board of Directors of the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) in its session No. 210 on October 12, 2025, to allocate land to several companies under the system of selling in US dollars sourced from outside the country.

The decision came in accordance with the established regulations and mechanisms, aiming to implement projects that include commercial, administrative, and residential activities, integrated urban developments, entertainment projects, residential blocks, nurseries, in addition to mixed-use and investment-oriented urban projects. The cities designated for these projects include New Sohag, New Minya, Sadat City, 10th of Ramadan, New Cairo, New Beni Suef, and New Mansoura.

In the same context, the Cabinet also approved the minutes of the meetings of the Ministerial Committee for Investment Dispute Resolution in its sessions No. 115 held on July 28, 2025, and No. 116 held on September 1, 2025.

The Cabinet further gave the green light to the request submitted by the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation regarding the Mechanical and Electrical Department’s contract with Upper Egypt Electricity Distribution Company to implement an alternative electrical supply for the Wadi Al-Saaida Irrigation Station (5.4). Approval was also granted for contracting with Beheira Electricity Distribution Company to connect the electrical supply to the Al-Bustan Lift Station (6).

It was emphasized that this step comes within the framework of ensuring stable electrical power supply for existing projects in these areas, supporting the continuity and protection of agricultural activities there.
