Engineer El Sayed Amin, Head of the Badr City Development Authority, affirmed the continuation of a comprehensive plan to rehabilitate infrastructure and enhance service levels to provide an urban environment that meets residents’ expectations.

The plan is being implemented in line with the directives of Engineer Randa El Menshawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities; Dr. Engineer Walid Abbas, Deputy Minister of Housing for New Urban Communities; Engineer Ahmed Omran, Deputy Minister of Housing for Utilities Affairs; and Engineer Ahmed Ali, Vice Chairman of the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) for Utilities Affairs, regarding the development and upgrading of older neighborhoods.

In the same context, the head of the Badr City Development Authority conducted a field tour to inspect the road development and upgrading works in the distinguished District “2” and the Fourth District.

He was accompanied by Engineer Abdel Nasser Mohamed, Deputy Head of the Authority for Roads, to review implementation progress, monitor the quality of work, and ensure compliance with the approved technical specifications and project timeline.

The Head of the Authority emphasized that upgrading older neighborhoods is one of the key priorities during the current phase, noting that the authority is implementing a clear plan to provide a modern and safe road network while enhancing the city’s overall urban appearance.

He also stressed the importance of continuous field monitoring to remove any obstacles affecting implementation and confirmed that no project will be accepted before verifying its compliance with the highest quality standards and technical specifications.

Upgrading Roads, Internal Corridors, and Repairing Road Damage

For his part, Engineer Abdel Nasser Mohamed, Deputy Head of the Authority for Roads, explained that the ongoing works include upgrading roads and internal corridors, repairing surface depressions and damaged sections, and improving traffic flow efficiency.

He added that work crews are operating around the clock under an intensive implementation plan and direct engineering supervision to ensure rapid completion while maintaining the highest quality standards.

The Head of the Authority reaffirmed the continuation of daily monitoring of all older neighborhood development projects and accelerating implementation to reflect the scale of development taking place in Badr City and embody the state’s vision for developing new cities and delivering high-quality urban services to citizens as part of the New Republic.
