The Prime Minister emphasized that this project marks a qualitative leap in completing the comprehensive infrastructure of the industrial zone, boosting its attractiveness to major investments and ensuring the provision of essential services for both existing and future projects. He stressed that Qantara West is preparing to emerge as one of Egypt’s most promising industrial hubs.

For his part, Walid Gamal El-Din, Chairman of the Suez Canal Economic Zone, explained that these facilities—most notably the new water station—serve 40 diverse industrial projects that have been contracted so far. These projects span sectors such as food industries, textiles and ready-made garments, poultry equipment, and packaging, reinforcing the state’s strategy toward localization and increasing exports.

Following the inauguration ceremony, Project Manager Engineer Ahmed Maawad delivered a detailed presentation on the technical aspects of the station. The components include a purification unit operating at 200 liters per second, stabilization and drying tanks, a dedicated chlorine disposal building, sludge pumps, as well as filtered water tanks with a capacity of 12,500 cubic meters and raw water tanks with a capacity of 8,000 cubic meters.
