Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and New Urban Communities, announced the twelfth public lottery for the allocation of 408 land plots in the Al-Rabia area of El Shorouk City. This lottery was dedicated to citizens whose land status had been regularized in the area, with an emphasis on accelerating the regularization and legalization procedures to boost development in newly added urban zones adjacent to the cities.
The Minister stressed the importance of continuing efforts to regularize the status of citizens and entities in the lands annexed to new cities. This initiative aims to establish well-planned urban communities that curb informal expansion and preserve the civilized appearance of Egypt’s future cities.
The manual public lottery was organized according to the approved detailed plans for the Al-Rabia area and included citizens who had paid the booking deposits for the legally approved plots.
The event was attended by Engineer Ahmed Ali, Deputy Chairman of the New Urban Communities Authority for Commercial and Real Estate Affairs, along with several officials, the Head of the El Shorouk City Authority, and client representatives. The process took place in an orderly and transparent atmosphere.
The allocated land plots in the lottery were distributed as follows:
216 plots with an area of 209 m², 91 plots with an area of 276 m², 53 plots with an area of 400 m², 36 plots with an area of 500 m², 6 plots with an area of 600 m², and 6 plots with an area of 700 m².
The Head of the City Authority noted that citizens were received starting from 10:00 a.m. to register their attendance, and the doors were closed at 12:00 noon to mark the start of the draw procedures. The lottery was conducted smoothly and transparently, in the presence of representatives from the Authority and several citizens.
He also added that allocation notifications were handed directly to the winners immediately after the draw ended, to simplify the process and enhance the quality of services provided to citizens.
