Engineer Nader Zafaar, Head of the 6th of October City Development Authority, affirmed that, as part of the Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities’ plan to strengthen discipline in new cities and enhance the efficiency of field monitoring, the authority has continued implementing extensive campaigns to remove encroachments, illegal occupations, and unauthorized sorting sites and activities within the industrial zone.
The campaign comes in implementation of the directives of Engineer Randa El Minshawy, minister of housing, utilities, and urban communities, and Dr. Walid Abbas, deputy minister of housing for urban communities, to intensify daily inspection campaigns to preserve the city’s urban appearance and ensure a safe and well-organized environment.
Head of 6th of October City Authority Oversees Violation Removal Campaigns
The campaigns were carried out under the instructions of Engineer Nader Zafaar, Head of the 6th of October City Development Authority, and led by Engineer Ahmed Ragab, Deputy Head of the Authority for the Northern and Western Sectors.
Work teams were deployed to several locations within the industrial zone where violations had been identified, enabling immediate action against all forms of illegal occupation and unauthorized activities that negatively impact operational efficiency in industrial areas.
The campaign covered Street 5, the 320 Area, Street 15, the Sixth Industrial Zone, and the Middle Ring Road. Field inspections were conducted across the targeted sites to detect violations and take the necessary legal measures against offenders.
The campaign was carried out with the participation of Mr. Ashraf Abdel Sadek, District Head; Mr. Gamal Abdel Azim; and Engineer Mahmoud El Gohary, Head of Occupancy Control, in coordination with the General Department of Administrative Security at the City Authority.
Illegal Sorting Site Removed and Various Seized Items Confiscated
The campaign resulted in the removal of an illegal sorting site located on Plot No. 461 in the 300 Area, where 15 sacks of sorting waste were confiscated. A Chevrolet vehicle used to conduct the unauthorized sorting activities was also seized and handed over to the Administrative Security Department to complete the required legal procedures.
The campaign also led to the confiscation of 15 metal drums, four plastic tanks, and an unauthorized fava bean cart, in addition to approximately one ton of iron that had been occupying space in front of one of the factories. Six marble slabs were removed, and two large paper rolls were seized from in front of another factory as part of a comprehensive plan to eliminate all illegal occupations that obstruct movement within the industrial zone or distort the city’s urban appearance.
The 6th of October City Development Authority confirmed that field campaigns will continue under an ongoing action plan aimed at eliminating all illegal sorting sites and unauthorized activities while enforcing full discipline throughout the industrial zone. The efforts are intended to provide a safe and organized working environment that supports industrial activity and strengthens investor confidence in the city.
The authority also continues to carry out daily inspection campaigns while taking strict legal action against all violators. These efforts contribute to preserving public facilities, improving the efficiency of industrial areas, enhancing the quality of services provided to investors and workers, and reinforcing 6th of October City’s position as one of Egypt’s largest industrial and development hubs.
