In implementation of the directives of the Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, the 6th of October City Authority is working to improve the city’s urban appearance. A meeting was held, headed by Engineer Khaled Sarour and Engineer Mohamed Mostafa, with officials from the cleaning companies to discuss enhancing operations and ensuring companies’ compliance with quality standards.
The discussions emphasized the importance of cleanliness as a shared priority for both the Ministry and the Authority. Topics included the development of the central axis, regulation of commercial activities, unification of storefronts and advertisements, all aimed at improving the urban environment. Mechanisms of supervision were also discussed to ensure compliance and discipline within residential and service areas.
Attendees stressed the necessity of regularly emptying garbage, removing accumulations immediately, and paying attention to sidewalks and green spaces to enhance quality of life. Engineer Mostafa pointed to routine field follow-ups and emergency plans to address any issues, affirming strict oversight of company performance to ensure compliance and the implementation of measures against any shortcomings.
The meeting concluded with a field tour to evaluate the current situation and ensure that work is progressing according to plan. The Authority confirmed that cleanliness, services, and urban development remain at the forefront of its priorities to guarantee an organized and safe environment for citizens.
