Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, has been following up on the progress of road construction in the Beit Al-Watan neighborhoods in the eastern extension of New Cairo and the units of the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians” in the city’s Third Settlement.

The Minister of Housing emphasized the importance of having clear and well-defined plans to complete the ongoing road projects in the Beit Al-Watan neighborhoods in New Cairo. He also stressed the need to expedite the completion of 5,328 housing units under the “Housing for All Egyptians” initiative in the city.
The road projects in Beit Al-Watan include several works, such as constructing internal roads in the project’s eastern extension. Significant progress has been made in creating and finishing residential buildings and developing roads and landscaping in the “Housing for All Egyptians” initiative, including 5,328 units in the Third Settlement of New Cairo.
During an inspection tour, Engineer Abdel Raouf El-Ghaity, Head of the New Cairo City Authority, and other officials reviewed the progress of R6 Road in the eastern extension and the Beit Al-Watan road network. The inspection covered the construction of ABC Road, which connects to Axis 24 in front of Al Ahly Club, spanning a length of 3,800 meters. This road features two main lanes, two service lanes on both sides and dedicated cycling paths in both directions. The tour also included MR2 Road within Beit Al-Watan, which links to the Middle Ring Road and separates the fourth and sixth districts in the area.
Housing for All Egyptians in New Cairo
Engineer Abdel Raouf El-Ghaity also inspected the site of the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians” in the Third Settlement. There, 222 residential buildings comprising 5,328 units are under construction, ranging from 90 to 120 square meters. The visit aimed to follow up on the progress of various construction phases.
Additionally, El-Ghaity visited the wastewater treatment station in the Investors’ Extension area to ensure its operational readiness and verify the efficiency of the backup power generators in emergencies.
Furthermore, he inspected the road and sidewalk maintenance works in specific sectors of the Gardenia neighborhood in the Third Settlement.
The Head of the New Cairo City Authority directed officials to intensify efforts to complete all projects within their scheduled timeframes. He also emphasized the importance of continuously maintaining and developing the city’s infrastructure to preserve its modern and organized appearance.
