The 10th of Ramadan City Development Authority, headed by Engineer Alaa Abdelilah Mostafa, Chairman of the Authority and Supervisor of the Hadayek 10th of Ramadan City Authority, held a public auction session among specialized companies to award contracts for the collection and transportation of poultry and fish waste, as well as the sale and loading of sludge (biosolids) generated from the city’s wastewater treatment plant for a two-year period.

The session was attended by representatives of the State Council, the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA), the Ministry of Finance, and members of the auction committee. The initiative is part of the Authority’s efforts to maximize the utilization of available resources, generate economic returns for the state, and ensure compliance with environmental regulations governing waste management and reuse.

The auction resulted in awarding the contract for the collection and transportation of poultry and fish waste in 10th of Ramadan City and its affiliated industrial zones at a total monthly value of EGP 82,000, supporting the city’s safe waste management system while protecting the environment and public health.

The auction also awarded the contract for the sale and loading of sludge produced by the domestic wastewater treatment plant, which complies with reuse standards under Ministerial Decree No. 214 of 1997, at a price of EGP 900 per cubic meter.

The winning company will be responsible for loading operations, cleaning the site upon completion, and maintaining roads, passageways, and facilities throughout the contract period, based on the actual quantities loaded.

Engineer Alaa Abdelilah Mostafa affirmed that the Authority continues to implement its plans to maximize the utilization of available resources through an integrated waste management system that ensures optimal use of waste in accordance with environmental regulations.

He added that these efforts contribute to increasing economic returns and improving the efficiency of municipal services, in line with the state’s sustainable development objectives.
