Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, and Chairman of the New Urban Communities Authority, held a meeting with ministry officials and deputies of the authority to discuss work developments across various sectors and new city authorities. The meeting also addressed future work plans and ongoing efforts to increase revenues and enhance investment offerings.
At the beginning of the meeting, the minister stressed the importance of achieving goals related to maximizing resources, highlighting the need to intensify work across all sectors of the authority in the coming period. He emphasized the necessity of boosting project implementation rates and evaluating performance and plans to improve outcomes.
The minister pointed out the need to focus on providing additional resources for the authority, directing the concerned departments to strengthen revenues and make optimal use of available capabilities. He also urged for the intensification of investment offerings through the dedicated platform for available opportunities and the utilization of lands in new cities to achieve maximum benefit.

During the meeting, the minister instructed that the condition of utilities in the new cities be closely monitored, with regular maintenance of roads and other infrastructure. He stressed the importance of improving lighting and continuously installing guiding signs to maintain the aesthetic appearance. Additionally, he called for intensified efforts in cleaning and the regular removal of waste.
Regarding the National Strategy for Urban Development and Sustainable Green Building, Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny highlighted the importance of establishing a comprehensive governance framework for this file, which would help facilitate procedures for real estate developers to obtain the incentives included in the strategy.
