Major General Imad Kadwani, Governor of Minya, announced the approval of the amendment to the general strategic plan of Abu Qurqas City, based on the decision of the Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities No. (827) for the year 2025, which was published in the Egyptian Gazette, making it effective and enforceable.
The governor pointed out that this approval comes within the framework of the state’s keenness to enhance integrated urban development plans within Minya Governorate, in a way that helps accommodate population growth and provide the necessary land for service, developmental, and investment projects, in addition to regulating construction activities in accordance with the applicable legal standards.
He emphasized that this decision represents a highly significant step towards achieving sustainable development for Abu Qurqas City, offering the opportunity to establish new projects aimed at improving the level of services provided to residents, supporting efforts to create job opportunities, and enhancing the overall quality of life and living standards. He also directed executive bodies to expedite the coordination process with the concerned authorities to implement the decision on the ground.
