The Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, reviewed the Tourist Walkways Project in 6th of October City during a meeting attended by ministry officials, representatives of the New Urban Communities Authority, and the head of the city’s authority. This meeting comes as part of a series of follow-ups on the progress of ongoing projects in new cities.
The discussion covered the components and objectives of the Tourist Walkways Project, which includes dedicated cycling paths as well as sports, social, and commercial activities. The project aims to maximize the use of available spaces in new cities, optimize land utilization, and enhance their overall aesthetic appeal.

Engineer Mohamed Mostafa, Head of the 6th of October City Authority, presented updates on the ongoing projects within the tourist walkways. These projects include buildings such as shopping malls, stores, and restaurants, along with green spaces and public seating areas. The meeting also reviewed the execution status of some walkways that are still under construction.
The Minister concluded the meeting by stressing the importance of preventing encroachments on roads that could obstruct traffic and inconvenience citizens. He emphasized the need to adhere to the set regulations to ensure the projects achieve their intended goals.
