Engineer Ahmed Mostafa Mohamed, Head of the New Minya City Authority, carried out an inspection tour to follow up on the development and upgrading works of the central island on the road linking the old Eastern Desert Road with the Army Road.
These efforts come as part of the city’s entrance improvement plan aimed at enhancing its urban appearance. He also supervised cleaning operations in the main streets and squares across different districts, such as District Six and the “Ebny Beitak 2” area, stressing the importance of continuing waste removal and emptying garbage containers regularly to ensure constant cleanliness.
As part of maintaining order and combating violations, the Head of the Authority launched a campaign that covered several areas of the city, including the “Ganna Misr Mall,” “Youth Square” in District Four, as well as other areas such as District One, District Six, and the vicinity of “Othman Ibn Affan Mosque.”
During the campaign, violations were removed immediately, with necessary legal measures taken against violators. In addition, tools and equipment used in these violations were confiscated and held at the Authority’s headquarters.
In efforts to restore state property, the City Authority, in cooperation with law enforcement and security forces, organized a large-scale campaign to remove encroachments on state-owned lands within the city boundaries. The campaign succeeded in reclaiming an area of 45 feddans that had been subjected to illegal encroachments.
As part of ongoing plans to improve public services, the Head of the Authority inspected ongoing maintenance works in District Seven and the Industrial Zone, directing that these works be completed quickly to ensure an improved urban appearance and a higher level of service provided to residents across all districts of the city.
